The Great Minnesota Get-Together

On Friday, I joined Calvin & Kadence's daycare fieldtrip to the State Fair. We started the morning by visiting the Miracle of Life center. The kids were lucky enough to be able to pet a baby sheep, calf and piglet. Calvin was particularly fond on the piglets and continues to have piglet sightings at home. We also checked out the DNR fish pond and watched a great big Northern eat another fish. Next up was petting a very large Bull snake, and then watching a bird show. We finished the day by making the very long trek to the Little Hands Farm. Calvin loved the hands-on activities, especially driving the little tractor and milking the cow. Of course, we ate some yummy food along the way too -- corndogs, chocolate milk & Martha's chocolate chip cookies. Calvin (& Kadence) are already looking forward to their next trip to the State Fair!
