Snowed In

Nothing beats a foot of snow, especially when it comes on the weekend and we can play outside as much as we want.  Since we don't have a good sledding hill within walking distance of our house, Calvin discovered that it's just as much fun to sled down the deck steps.  The landing is a bit rougher, but that didn't seem to deter our wild one.  He also tried to harness the sled on Noche for a ride around the yard, but that didn't work out quite as well.

After many minutes peering out the kitchen window, Kadence decided to suit up and join in on the fun too.  It's a bit tougher to convince her to come out in the snow (it seems she takes after her Mama and gets cold easily), but she quickly discovered that licking snow off her mittens is pretty yummy.  Despite Calvin's coaxing, she opted out from sliding down the deck but did allow Calvin to pull her up and down the driveway.

Of course, the best part of playing in the snow for my C & K, is warming up with hot chocolate and marshmallows when we head inside.
