A Day at the Park

Calvin, Kadence and I made a visit to Butler Park this morning to get some fresh air (and give Mama a chance to practice her photography).  The kids loved running on large docks and peeking at the frozen lake below.  Calvin even found a tree to climb ... and Kadence cried because she couldn't climb it.  We also ate chocolate sprinkle donuts at Granny Donuts and rode around in the car cart at Home Depot.  Gotta love Sundays!

Another month has gone by, so it's time for some family updates:

- Eric is officially half done with law school!  Yay!!  He continues to receive good grades and makes us all very proud.  He was also elected as an Executive Editor on Law Review next year.

- Kadence is 16 months old!  She continues to work on potty training, loves to give kisses, adores her baby dolls and blankets, uses utensils at mealtimes, jabbers constantly and puts more words together every day.  We love this little gal so much.

- Calvin is also getting older and wiser.  He is such a fun little boy to hang out with, and I definitely enjoy our one-on-one time together.  He is working on his abc's and recognizes the letter "c" for his first and last name.  His new favorite movie is "The Sandlot" because of the big, scary dog.

- Noche is on the mend.  After 4 days of limping, increasing depression and lethargy, we made an emergency trip to the vet where he was diagnosed with Lyme Disease.  He will be on medication for one month, but is already back to his old young, playful self.

- And me ... I'm working on lots of painting projects around the house, and trying to fit in some photography here and there.  Life is very busy these days!
