The kids enjoyed a few hours of playing at Butler Park this morning. We first checked out the lake and found a few ducks swimming by the dock. Kadence was very excited and got some good practice saying "quack quack." We then spent some time swinging and sliding. It's fun to see how many more things Calvin can do at the park without assistance this year. He can now climb the big rock wall and ride the zip lines! Kadence, however, seems to prefer swinging and people watching over the more adventuresome activities.
I'm finding that these busy days spent outdoors help the kids sleep better. Kadence is usually so tired by lunchtime that she falls asleep while eating her pb&j sandwiches. And Calvin has been crashing at 7pm and (mostly) sleeping through the night. I'll take it!
I see Calvin got some new boots.
