The Pool is Open!

Saturday was steamy hot, so we ventured to Chad & Amber's house for a dip in the pool.  The water was perfect (as was the time spent with friends!).  Calvin was excited to show off his mad swimming skills -- jumping off the diving board and swooshing down the slide.  With his life jacket on, he needs very little assistance from us in the water.  Kadence, on the other hand, was quite the handful.  She refused to wear a life jacket, and had to learn the tough way what happens when you jump off the steps into the deep water.  We may need to get her started with swimming lessons sooner than we planned...  After nearly 3 hours in the water, we coerced the kids out and enjoyed a yummy meal of grilled hotdogs, corn on the cob, and cake.  Not a bad way to spend a Saturday!
