We joined Lucas for his 4th birthday party on Saturday at Hyland Park. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor party, and the location was perfect for a bunch of energetic kiddos. Calvin and Lucas' cousin, Austin, always seem to hit it off at these events. It was non-stop climbing, sliding, scaling, and maneuvering in the gigantic maze of playground equipment. Good thing there were some water misters incorporated into the area as I had one hot & sweaty boy on my hands after an hour of play! Kadence and William seemed more content to chase one another up and down the grassy hills ... they were so cute with their toddler chat, "chase Kadence," "chase me."
Calvin was a bit disappointed at the end of the party as he was convinced he would be having a sleepover with Lucas. In fact, he was so convinced that he had even packed a sleeping bag. He did manage to console himself later that evening by having a "pretend sleepover" with Kadence under the swing set.
