Adelyn Mae was born on her due date, July 10th at 8:37pm. After weeks of intense Braxton Hicks, sleepless nights, and virtually no progress towards natural labor, we opted to schedule an induction. We were admitted to the hospital around 3 in the afternoon, pitocin started at 4pm, epidural at 8pm, and baby arrived with only 2 pushes a short while later.
Vital stats: GIRL, 7 lbs 13 oz, 20 inches, dark hair and eyes
Our hospital stay was short and sweet. We enjoyed visits from Calvin, Kadence, Gramma and Grampa Totland, Auntie Kim and Auntie Karen. It's safe to say everyone was smitten at first sight!
As of today, Addy is just over 1 month old. She sleeps like a champ, only waking me once or twice a night. Like all babies, she likes to nurse and I get to enjoy this snuggle and bonding time at least 10 times a day. Daddy is thrilled that we only have messy diapers every few days, which is quite the change from Calvin and Kady's baby days. And speaking of Calvin and Kady, they are obviously in love with their new little sis. Calvin is a pro at holding Adelyn and singing her songs, while Kadence loves to show her toys and read her books.
Our family is most definitely complete.
