It was a tough week to find time to celebrate with K having the hand, foot and mouth virus early in the week, and C catching a different bug late in the week. With all the chaos, our celebration was small, but the love we have for Kadence only grows bigger and bigger.
Kadence loved her Dora birthday cake and balloons! Her favorite gifts this year were a Hello Kitty plush toy, princess dress, and electric toothbrush. Unlike Calvin, Kadence took her time opening presents, and had a priceless look of joy and awe on her sweet face. She would then run to Eric or me with a huge grin on her face to show us her gift.
I love being a mom to Kady and would do anything for this girl. She's imaginative, playful, caring, independent, funny, observant, and occasionally stubborn. She loves to swing, ride bike, fight with Calvin, play with barbies, jump on Daddy, and sleep in Mama's bed. She says, "oh, man!" numerous times a day, which makes me laugh every time. I know this year will fly by (like they all do), but I plan to savor Kady's golden year and make memories that will last her lifetime.
